What should I pack?
Freestyle Cruising in not too dressy, not too casual. Infact you will find that there are really only two types of attire you will need. Our newest event, Norweigans Night Out, is the perfect opportunity to head to a spa for pampering and then get dressed up for an evening of cocktails, fine dining and great entertainment. Its your chance to get your portrait taken with your family, that special someone or even the captain. You may also want to pack a sweater too as air conditioning can be chilly. You may want to pack an all white outfit of our Iconic White Hot Party. The atmosphere in the mid ship dining room, the buffet and most of the speciality restaurants is contemporary, so cruise casual attire is perfect. For women this includes casual and summer dresses, skirts, jeans and tops. Swimwear is acceptable only at the buffet and outdoor grills and a shirt or cover-up and footwear is required.
What if I am pregnant?
If you are pregnant everything will be done to accommodate you. However to ensure your medical safety you must complete all travel before the 24th week of the pregnancy. A medical certificate establishing your due date and fitness to travel is required. Please be aware that we will not be responsible or liable for any complications of pregnancy that occur during the cruise.
Are babysitters available?
In addition to the complimentary Splash Academy Programme for different age groups, group babysitting is also available, but private room or in-room babysitting is not available. Parents with children in the Splash Academy and who are not potty trained will be given a beeper and be alerted when the child needs to be changed.
Is there a doctor on board?
A doctor and a nurse are on each ship to provide medical care and services at customary charges. Commonly used medications are kept on board and may be prescribed by the ships doctor. Please note that the medical facilities are designed to provide basic medical care and guests may have to be evacuated at their own expense in the event of serious illness. Norwegian Cruise Line does not have the equipment on board to assist guest with any type of dialysis treatment. Please ensure you have the right travel insurance cover.
What time is dinner?
Dinner is available when you are ready for it. There are over 28 dining options per cruise ship, no assigned seating and at least and there will be at least one restaurant open at any given time in the am or pm. So your dining time is at your discretion. If you would like to opt for dinner in bed room service is happily there to accommodate you.
